• A kitchen with a bar or island that becomes a gathering point.

• A guest half bath on the ground floor.

The kitchen as the heart of the home

We design the kitchen together with the rest of the space, not as an add-on. Because we build it in our own workshop, every cabinet fits exactly and the finishes match the floors and doors.

Details that make a difference

Generous ceiling heights, good cross-ventilation and walls with better thermal and acoustic insulation make the ground floor comfortable all year round.

One team, start to finish

At Balaya y Asociados we combine design, construction and in-house carpentry: kitchens, closets and doors are made by Cocinas Balaya, our workshop in Querétaro (www.cocinasbalaya.com). We build with Novaceramic multi-perforated clay brick and, to date, none of our homes has had a structural failure.
